Spring may be eluding us for a bit (snow in April?!), but I can feel the shift in the air. I'm itching to plant some seeds and watch for the first green shoots pushing up to start my garden. I want to get on my bike and explore the world from outside my car again. And I want to curl up by a window with a good book and a cup of something warm after enjoying the fresh air. Here are some book.   Don't bother starting at the beginning with Austen's earlier, brighter works. Go straight to her sixth and final published novel—which admittedly made the fall reading list for its darker and more serious themes—is a story of old love and second chances, which makes it perfect for spring. And if you want to read Austen twice in one year, I'm certainly not going to stop you.

It’s the perfect time to crack open a window and start a new book (or five!). Put those extra hours of reading to good use by participating in MCPL’s Spring into Reading Challenge, which kicks off Monday, Ma and runs through Friday,   Spring has sprung! Spring into color. Spring into fun! Spring is a season of love. Spring is full of sweet days and roses. Spring is here, lets give a big cheer! Spring is in the air! Spring is nature’s way of saying, “Let’s party!” Spring is sooner recognized by plants than by men. Spring is the time of plans and projects.

Books shelved as spring-reading: The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood, The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett, by George Orwell, Pride and P.   Welcome the season with these beautiful books about spring! Each of my seasonal theme packs comes with a list of recommended books to read aloud. We love putting together our book lists! I check out stacks of books from the library, and my Four gets a lot of read aloud time. Only our favorites make the final list! Check out this list of spring books included in our Spring Theme Read .
